Rainbow of Hope - Level 2 Toolkit

Steps and Search for Common Ground (SFCG) partnered to work on "Rainbow of Hope - Level 2" toolkit. This conflict resolution curriculum aims to enhance children's ability to deal more effectively with the conflict they meet in their everyday lives, and to use positive coping mechanisms while interacting with others.

The curriculum uses a storytelling learning approach to teach English language and promote conflict transformation principles through two English classes and one recreational activity session each week, for a six-month course. Children are taught conflict transformation skills by being guided through problems and asked to determine what solution is the most appropriate, whilst also learning English at the same time.

The main objectives for Level 2:

Further enhance children's understanding of the self.
Enable children to explore relationships with others and to build long-lasting friendships.
Provide children with conflict transformation skills to enable them to independently mitigate episodes of conflict in their daily lives, as well as, to understand and appreciate how they can play a positive role in society.
