The guide is divided into two parts. The first sheds light on the Syrian experience and presents mediation stories from community activists who lived through conflict and mediation in their environments. As for the second, it presents the results and conclusions of a critical review of different mediation schools and references, and an attempt to add a new theory of change specific to this guide, based on a transformative approach and theory of human needs and non-violent communication.
