Daniel Altheb

Daniel Altheb is a social activism and conflict transformation specialist with eight years’ experience in working with individuals and NGOs in different countries of the regions in Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon.

 

He is a social activist and a passionate of change, dignity and freedom. He studied business administration and graduated from Damascus University. Worked in private sector for a couple of years in financial departments.

 

He joined Steps in 2016 as a consultant where he trained, facilitated, co-designed training programs and participated in content development of toolkits and became a core team consultant. Daniel’s work and specialty are in training and facilitating programs on active citizens, conflict transformation and peacebuilding. Daniel lived his life equally between Syria and Lebanon which gave him good connections, understanding of the context and acceptance by the Lebanese and Syrian communities and enabled him to reach both communities.


His experience is wide, on one level he has good experience in administrative and financial processes of NGOs and on another level in capacity development and empowerment of individuals, teams and communities.

 

Daniel believes in the importance of participation and sharing learnings with team members and participants as a key to create change, he also provides support to anyone, which enabled him to be an excellent team player and the backbone of Steps team.
